Watchman Monitoring subscribers with GSX access can provide Apple Limited Warranty (ALW) and AppleCare Protection Plan (APP) lookup service to fellow subscribers without access. In this article, we will provide requestors instructions to request access from a fellow Watchman Monitoring subscriber with GSX access.
Watchman Monitoring has created a workflow for a company with GSX access to provide warranty lookup for Watchman Monitoring subscribers without access using the Warranty Updater Tool. Most Apple Authorized Service Providers (AASP) have access to GSX for warranty status lookups along with other Apple-affiliated entities such as Apple Authorized Self-Servicing Accounts.
Requesting Warranty Lookups
For those without GSX access, locate a fellow subscriber with GSX access. You might use the Provider Locator to find an AASP near you or the MacAdmins Slack.
Below is an example of an email you might use to request setting up the Watchman Monitoring Warranty Updater tool and add your API key.

Enable GSX Integration
Visit the GSX Integrations tab of your dashboard, set to Automatic, and choose your preferred Date Format. Click Show API Key.

Click the Copy button next to the API Key.

Share this API key and your subdomain when requesting AppleCare Warranty lookups from a subscriber with GSX access.
Subscribers with GSX access
If you have already configured the Warranty Updater Tool, follow instructions to Add a Subdomain for Lookups.
Repeat these steps to add additional Managed Accounts and other Watchman Monitoring Subscriptions to the Warranty Updater Tool.
No restart is required. The Warranty Updater’s UI can be quit at any time, processing will run hourly in the background.
