The Monitoring Client uses four pieces of information in the warnings to allow the Subscriber to positively identify which computer needs attention.
- Client Group
- Machine Name
- Short name of the last logged in user
- The machine's serial number
All data is sent using standard SSL encryption from the monitored computer to the Watchman Monitoring server. This information, especially without any other context, would not allow any outsider to identify the user or the user's location.
