Disk Utility RAID plugin failure on a computer with no RAID

Last updated:

The Check Apple Disk Utility RAID plugin can sometimes fail to run when Disk Utility fails to send the status of the mounted drives.

Possible causes:

  • Failing hard drives
  • Disks which are too slow to respond.

Possible resolutions:

  • Restarting the computer
  • Re-mounting any external drives.
  • Replace any questionable drives
Watchman Monitoring will continue to look for ways to improve the client, cutting down on ambiguous errors such as this one.
