Setting up Authy for Two-factor Authentication

Last updated:

The following steps will help you configure your device for use as a second factor in Watchman Monitoring Two-factor Authentication. Watchman Monitoring uses a time-based one-time password (TOTP).

Authy provides a free app for iOS, Android, and other platforms which allows a phone to serve as a second factor in secure authentication.

Set up Authy with your mobile phone number and E-mail address, and tap "OK" button

Once you have verified your account via a call or SMS (which are free from Authy, though normal data rates would apply) you are ready to add your Watchman Monitoring account.

You may use any E-mail address that you wish; it is not required that you use the same E-mail address that is associated with your Watchman Monitoring account.
