Managed Accounts allow you to provide an end user with a dedicated account for up to 250 computers in a single organization. A Managed Account can have its own Custom Branding and Contact Menu. Each Managed Account has its own 30-day trial and a cost of $75 per month. Learn More...
1. Create New Account
Create a new sub-account at: https://app.monitoringclient.com/settings/profile/accounts
Click New Account
1.1. Managed Account Creation
Click the Create button to proceed.
Select the Managing Account, enter the Company name, and select a subdomain.
1.1.1. Managed Dedicated Account
For an account where you will manage all aspects of the account, we suggest using your existing support resources for an end-user website and contact email address.
1.1.2. Dedicated Account
For an account where your customer will manage all aspects of the account, we suggest using your their support resources for an end-user website and contact email address.
The Owner account should match the owner of the Provider account, as Owner accounts have access to billing.
2. Add Organization's Users
Once the new account is created, add the managed organizations users to give them access to the account.
There are two ways of setting up Managed Accounts
- Only provide Employee rights (with or without contact menu)
In this case, you’ll manage all aspects of the account, but it is dedicated to them.
- Set them up as Admins (without Billing)
In this case, they will likely manage most or all aspects of the account.
2.1. Add Contact Info
2.2. Set User Permissions
Most Managed Accounts should have at least one Admin user. This will allow them full access to everything but billing.
3. Point Emails to the Proper Address
The default behavior is to send alert emails to the account's owner. Most managed accounts will want to receive their own alerts, so emails should be sent to their address.
4. Add Billing Information
Managed Account billing is separate from your main account. Managed Accounts are billed at $75/month after the 30 day trial ends.
The new managed account’s Monitoring Client agent should be installed over the top of any existing Monitoring Client installations (no pre-removal needed).
